MEET GIANNA SCIORTINO AN ENIX LIFESTYLIST | HERE IS HER STORY OF LOSING 120 POUNDS!
My name is Gianna Sciortino, but you can also just call me Gi.
I am so excited to be part of this journey with you because I know you are going to crush all your goals! After losing 120lbs, I gained a passion for health & fitness. I know that weight loss and living a healthy lifestyle can be tough in some cases, but my mission is to get you on the right track and cheer you on throughout your journey to success.
Ever since I was a child, my weight has been a recurring issue both physically and psychologically. I was extremely active and lived a healthy lifestyle. I later on was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, also known as PCOS. PCOS is a hormonal disorder that often makes weight loss more difficult.
After being weighed at 240 pounds and 18 years of a never ending battle with my weight, I decided to undergo the vertical sleeve gastrectomy surgery with hope to have a successful weight loss but more importantly, finally be healthy and happy. With following a strict regimen, taking my healthy life to another level and working out daily, I was persistent and lost half of my body weight; 120 pounds. This accomplishment was a life changing experience for me and I hope and pray everyday that people start believing that they could do it too; that is the first step to achieving any goal in life.
Throughout my journey there were many key factors that helped me succeed and I’ve partnered with Enix Lifestyle to work with a team committed to providing science-backed solutions for weight loss and to share my tips and meals that keep me healthy, happy, and satisfied all day!
Drinking a lot of water and staying away from sugary drinks was one of them. Cutting back on sugars and starches will play a huge factor in weight loss. Make sure that you have well balanced meals that are high in protein and try to limit your red meat intake.
Eating whole unprocessed foods is always better for your body; be mindful of what you are putting in there! Try to stop eating 3-4 hours before bed. As I was losing weight, I focused mostly on cardio and started incorporating strength training later on which helped retract excess skin. Don’t forget to give yourself rest days in between working out! Your muscles need time to recover and you want to make sure that you do not get hurt. Always remember to believe in yourself and if you fall off one day, you just get back up and continue to kill it! It’s not going to be an easy journey, but it will definitely be worth it. Stay positive and motivated!
