Meet Desiree Mize an Enix Lifestylist | Here Is Her Story of Losing 150 Pounds!

Hi Lovelies! My name is Desiree Mize but everyone calls me "Dez"! I'm a busy girl who is always on the go so having quick and easy meals and snacks truly help me stay on track!
I have battled obesity my entire life! I enrolled in my first children's bootcamp when I was 90 pounds at 5 years old! Later, when I was 8 years old, I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and each year I gained more and more weight, no matter what diet I was on or how active I was in playing sports. When I was 21 years old, daily tasks became nearly impossible as I miserably approached 300 pounds. I feared scales and mirrors and felt trapped under my own skin and prayed for any other body than my own.
Finally, after 3 years of research and a lifetime of trying every weight loss method under the sun, I had the Gastric Bypass surgery which changed my life! I had always been very active in sports, the gym, and dieting but FINALLY I started to see the results I always worked so hard to achieve! Through starting to see physical changes, I got so motivated to stay consistent and disciplined throughout my weight loss journey. I have now lost 150 pounds and maintained while keeping a steady gym routine and diet!
Some of the best tips I can share for success in your journey is to use a scale to weigh your meals, track what you eat in an app (it's an extra step but so worth it! just takes some discipline!), find a gym buddy, and be as open as possible about your weight loss so you can connect with others and share/get ideas for the gym and you meals! Changing your lifestyle is by no means easy but it is absolutely attainable! No matter how simple these ideas may seem, my hope is that they help you get closer to becoming the person you are working so hard to find deep within.
